Damon Cruz, Kailee Branson, Dani Atchley, Kohlea Carmack and Ty Thacker represented Rich Mountain Electric Cooperative at Youth Tour, an all-expenses-paid educational trip to Washington, D.C., from June 15-21. They were five of the 47 students representing Arkansas on Youth Tour.

Damon Cruz is the son of Rick and Sandy Lyle, Kailee Branson is the daughter of Lee Wagner and Kent Branson, Dani Atchley is the daughter of Jill and Daniel Atchley, Kohlea Carmack is the daughter of Jeremey and Lacey Cearley and Ty Thacker is the son of Ron and Tonya Thacker.

The Youth Tour experience is filled with fun activities, but its overall purpose is to increase students’ understanding of the value of rural electrification. Additionally, the students got the chance to visit monuments, historic sites and meet elected officials to increase the students’ knowledge of how the federal government works.

For more information on Youth Tour, please contact John Larucci at (479) 394-4140 or by email at jlarucci@rmec.com.
